Brian Kasal

Founder / CEO

Brian Kasal is the CEO and founder of FourStar Wealth Advisors LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser firm headquartered in Chicago. Brian holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and has been a guest lecturer for their MBA program.

Brian has been a member of the Portfolio Management Institute (PMI), as well as Senior Portfolio Management Director and Senior Vice President of Morgan Stanley. Brian has also served clients at Paine Webber, Lehman Brothers and for 15 years at William Blair and Company as a Senior Principal in the Private Client Portfolio Management Group.

In addition to being an Eagle Scout and serving on the board of directors of the Chicago and Central Regional Council of the Boy Scouts of America for the last 15 years, Brian is a seated member of the National Finance Committee of the Boy Scouts and a trustee of the National BSA Foundation.

Brian founded the Chicago Chapter of the International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy and served as a member of the National Board of Advisors in Philanthropy in the United States.

Brian has served on the board of the Illinois Channel—the nonprofit and nonpartisan C-Span of Illinois—and also served as Board Chair. He served on the board for the nonpartisan, non-Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, now called Reform for Illinois. He is active in public affairs having served as the Chicago leader of the Concord Coalition and Committeeman of Chicago’s 43rd Ward, in addition to fundraising for numerous state and local campaigns.

Brian was one of the earliest members of the Hyde Park Angels, the largest angel network in the Midwest, founded from Brian’s business school class at the University of Chicago. He spent 10 years working with startup companies and seed-round investing and now continues searching for opportunities for investors.
